What makes Cornerstone Pelvic Health different than the rest?
Cornerstone Pelvic Health is a mobile, cash based private occupational therapy clinic that provides pelvic floor therapy using an occupational therapy lens. Pelvic floor therapy shouldn’t be just focused on physical health. Rather, it should address your whole person-your mental, physical, emotional self. When the whole person is addressed, healing takes place.

Cornerstone provides mobile in person sessions, meaning I come to you. This is to offer more conviencence for your schedule, and to allow us to cater your therapy to your environment.
The first session will be an evaluation, lasting 90 minutes. We will talk about your concerns, go over intake forms, and go over some basic education regarding the pelvic floor. A basic musculoskeletal evaluation will be performed, and if it is indicated, and you feel comfortable, then we may explore doing an external and/or internal pelvic exam. We will discuss the findings and areas to work on before the next treatment.
Treatments may include further education on anatomy, downtraining, exercise programs, lifestyle modifications. They also may include manual work such as myofascial release, visceral work, and internal work if indicated.
-
I work with women 18 years of age and up.

Internal exams are not required. Internal exams and internal work are a helpful tool in the toolbox, but there are other helpful tools that can be used as well. We can talk more about what is recommended for you.
And it should be noted that internal exams are only performed with your consent, before and during the exam.
-
I do not take insurance. I am happy to provide an itemized super bill that you could submit to your insurance company at the completion of your treatments, if requested.
-
I accept forms of payment through Square, and I also take cash or check.
